Both artworks I am submitting for this show are more three dimensional than my usual paintings.
Which helps to make them "Unusual". The "My Mondrian" piece is on a 10x12 thick wood panel with many 3D objects added yet camouflaged. I loved the idea of adding tactile objects to the flat Neoplasticism genre.

Similarly "The Flower Box" piece was created attaching two cradled wood panels. Painting them in my style, adhering my flower photographs and installing artificial flowers. I love the modern vertical stripes "stems" juxtaposed with the traditional floral arrangements.

A sort of colorful Trompe L'Oeil.
