Artist Statement

My pendants are one of a kind ceramic stones. Leaves were imprinted or blind contour drawings were carved into the soft clay. The clay stone is fired and then layers of venetian plaster was applied on top. Some of the original carvings and imprints are covered over but new marks are added using the layers beneath as a guide. They are hand painted with oils and sealed with a satin varnish.
