Most of my "wordy" work is rooted in social issues. "I WAS" was inspired by the overturning of Roe v. Wade and the silencing of women (as well as the LGBTQ community, political dissent, and sharing of censored information). A poem around the edges of the mosaic says: "I was. I was silent. I spoke. I was silenced. I was."  "Not Me. Us." was made during the 2020 Presidential primary season, and while I have parted ways with Bernie Sanders on a few issues, the sentiment of "Not me, us" is still an important life philosophy. "To Serve Man" is a cookbook... Inspired by one of my favorite episodes of The Twilight Zone.
