I am most comfortable when I have a pen in my hand. Most of my creations are done in pen and ink. I love the detail and texture I can achieve with a fine point pen. The simple black and white images allow me to experiment with watercolor washes and overlays.

I love nature and many of my works are of birds, animals, insects and flowers, but capturing humans in their strength, glory, weakness and fragility has become a new passion!

My piece, titled "The Least of These" captures the brokenness of a homeless man. His handwritten sign about the blessings of others, touched me and reminded me of a verse from the Book of Matthew 25.40
