Encaustic painting embodies change. A painting is created layer by layer with each new application creating depth and altering the work that came before.

While I may start with an idea of the image that will emerge, I'm usually surprised. I love working this way, responsive to what exists in the moment and open to what the painting will become. I enter into a relationship with the work - I and the painting will be different for the exchange.
