I studied reptiles and amphibians for over twenty years. I've been all over the world researching some of the craziest creatures imaginable. I once caught the biggest Komodo dragon alive with nothing but a rope.

Several years ago, I transitioned into a job working with artwork. I run a shop building custom crates for shipping and storing artwork. I miss working with nature. I try to combine my two careers into the things I make. I love a weird creature with bright colors, big teeth, and an unexpected way of making the viewer smile. Sometimes ugly can be beautiful. That is what I try to accomplish with my art.

I use a lot of natural materials like wood and leather in my artwork. I also like to use found objects. It's another connection with nature that I miss in my current life.
