Play Time .

Besides good food and cool shops, there’s also a ton of opportunity for adventures and activities in Collingswood. Besides the active event scene (see our calendar for PLA and Borough events), there are also great places that pride themselves on showing you a good time.

Here are a few to check:

Not only are they a creative space, but they are right on the corner of Powell & Haddon! Make a mug, have a party, take a class. This is one of the first businesses in the Lumberyard complex, and it’s no wonder they’ve been here for over 15 years — it’s fun, creative and satisfying. Plus, it’s a keepsake to take home!

Rain or shine, spring through fall this market provides some of the best local fruits, vegetables and delicacies in the area. There’s tons of vendors and lots of fun & music. But be ready to start your day here: it only goes from 8am-12pm. It’s fun that also feels like you’re accomplishing something — getting good for you food. Win-win.

Named for one of Collingswood’s two closest Turnpike exits, the goal here is simple: Reserve a room, go into the room, work collaboratively to get out of said room. It sounds simple, but oh how much more complex they make it. You must reserve a space in advance with at least 2 players to secure your booking.

Knight Park is a 70 acre park right at the center of Collingswood. It has playing fields, a lake, walking paths and just generally beautiful greenery. Good for a walk or a picnic, it’s open from sunrise to sunset and is a nicely picturesque place to enjoy a pretty day.

Let’s face it guys: life can be stressful. And sometimes when it’s stressful nothing feels better than some slippery, knead-y clay. With workshops in mosaics and wheel throwing and stress-reduction, and even date nights, this is a place we can’t wait to visit. They have a comprehensive list of workshops ready to be booked.

You know we have great dinner in this town, so now go see a show! The Scottish Rite is a beautiful auditorium that hosts about 20 shows a year, as well as 2-3 community plays! Even if shows are not your thing, the buildings themselves have a fascinating history and the American Institute of Architects named it one of 150 Must-See Buildings in New Jersey.

So imagine a karaoke night where all the people are your friends and you get to sing as many songs as you can during the session. No need to imagine: Songbird Karaoke exists. They have beautiful luxe rooms of every size, for every party, and you can even book catering to have your favorite treats. Plus, they are a real solid instagram follow… We’re just saying…
