Meet Cute .
Collingswood has a m a z i n g shopping. From furniture to vintage games, from home essentials to luxuriant body products, and even from candy to coffee, there’s a lot to explore here. Plus, since everyone does a little something different, it’s the perfect destination to find and curate collections that make life feel homey.
Here are some of our favorite spots.
Want to feel classy? Go to Everette Wilson? Want beautiful decor or a sophisticated and thoughtful gift? Everette Wilson has got you. Like things that smell great and places that are friendly? Everette Wilson. They have home and body products, terrific drink and host wares, fine rugs and pillows, great furniture and just one of the coolest vibes. Oh, and Bourbon, one of the cutest pups around.
One of the most established stores in Collingswood, this spot has a little bit of everything: beautiful handmade bowls; fine craft pillows, scarves and tablewares; a smattering of thoughtful art; handblown glass ornaments and plenty of charming objects.
What to say? PLANTS. Plants, plants, plants. They have great plants, a killer design-inspo outdoor space, a relaxed botanical vibe, and a pretty cute Frenchie. This space is so luscious you can reserve it to host parties and events — which is genius. It has the feel of a solarium or arboretum or conservatory that encourages you to take the things you like home.
We don’t want to wax poetical here and bury the lede: it’s candy. It’s delicious candy in a super cute, energetic store! It’s every dream child you had about what a candy store can be. It’s candy! Enough said.
Ever wanted to find all the things you remember from your childhood? Or some chairs of another era or that salt-and-pepper set from your Gram’s Thanksgivings (hypothetically)? Clutter Vintage has you covered.
We can dig Dig This. They have retro furnishings (think cool mid-century modern), they make custom live edge furniture, and if you have always wanted a vintage stereo cabinet with said stereo and turntable built in to the cabinet, like say your dad or grandpop had — they have it.
Have you ever wanted to be a better person and didn’t know where to start, but you were pretty sure calligraphy and a nice notebook were good starts? No? Just me? Okay, well this place has all the fine paper and calligraphy instruments you need! And they have classes! Which we plan on signing up for immediately. May all of our future correspondence be as lovely as this shop.
Not only is this name rhyming, but this store is as thoughtful and unique as a poem. It has handmade goods from all over, paintings by local artists, jewelry and last time we were in, we saw a brass pig that we desperately wanted to take as our own, but we bought a gallery so it may be available for you to take home and we would be so jealous! All this to say: check it out!! :)
Ida’s bookshop is named for the woman herself, Ida B. Wells. And like it’s namesake it’s smart, vibrant and celebrates women, women authors and women activists. We love bookshops, but this one is especially welcoming, with curated collections and staff happy to discuss books and make thoughtful recommendations. We recommend taking a morning or afternoon to take it in and spend some time.
We know, we know… there’s a lot of art and art adjacent business here. But art is terrific and Perkins is no exception. Focusing on solo and/or themed group shows, this is a great place to take in artwork. They also have nice smaller items and they give art classes, talks and sometimes some concerts.
So we struggled on whether Revolution should be on shops or eats. And there is an argument for both, but this place is serious about coffee. You can chill here over a cup of joe, but make sure you grab some of their bold, in-house roasted blends to take home with you. Oh and it smells incredible — assuming that you like us think coffee is one of the 10 best scents in the known universe.
Games! Toys! Books!! All from the best time period ever: when you were growing up!!
This place is a smorgasbord of hits of yesteryear. Take an hour, take a look, and be transported to throwback-town.
