ARTIST STATEMENT

My technique was developed over years of experimentation with different styles, medium and ways to express my feelings and emotions on canvas.

I am a detailed oriented individual and love lines and simplified shapes and designs. So naturally my style has evolved with the use of various lines to outline, shape or define forms within my work.

I'm an intuitive painter and so my work should be viewed as is. Innovative, creative and expressive. My style and technique is very different from most of the main stream artists. I believe in individuality as well as whatever ways one chooses to express themselves in the creative arena.

An artist is not born from academic learning, but from freedom of artistic and creative expressions. A trait we all have, which makes us all creatives in our own right. However, for us who have chosen art as fine artists we have a wealth of materials and areas from which to express and create from.

Art is subjective and creativity cannot be measured by years of experience. Creativity is just as is, a mode of bringing to fruition an idea, thought or reproduction of a subject matter - realistic, representational or abstract.

For me art gives me freedom to express myself with paint on canvas and write a language in colour. It has given me a voice to relay messages via various subject matter.

To create is to live. Art is what keeps me sane and grounded. Art is a language I love and can express myself as I am. It's what drives me to become who I truly was meant to be. A student of life, a teacher, and loving and caring individual who communicates through paintings.

I honored to a part of this creative force we all love.
