Artist Statement 

These paintings and collages started with almost no forethought. But as I work, what it becomes is tied up with the physical nature /characteristics/suggestion of the materials. Somewhere in that process the subject of the work makes itself very clear. It is true that between materials and process, thoughts creep in and announce their physical presence.
