Artist Statement
I am a self-taught artist from Reading, Pa now living in Philadelphia. My paintings are in acrylics and as of the past 15 years or so, I have been creating 2-dimensional pieces with VenetianPlaster. It's a kind of "fresco"Sgraffito method I’ve been playing with. My subject matter is all over the place. Things pop in my head and I run with the idea. It could be something from my childhood to an homage of an artist whom I lean on for inspiration. I enjoy creating pieces with the plaster because it has a sense of some ancient art form, but with a modern twist. I hope you enjoy what you see.✌️
