 ARTIST STATEMENT

This piece, 50 Sets of Eyes, was completed entirely during the first year of the COVID-19 pandemic, the lockdowns and masking mandates, re-emergence of the Black Lives Matter movement, and the 2020 election. It is made of paper, marker, sheer and shimmering cloth, stitching, ink and print blocks. It also features intuitive and visceral writings that become reflections on the whirlwind of change and trauma in which we all found ourselves.
