ARTIST STATEMENT
I paint classic children's literature; why? Because it gives me things, I can not find in everyday life. So I paint these stories in oil over much-loved vintage storybook pages. In these paintings, I see a tolerance towards eccentricity, acceptance of others, magic in the ordinary, and escape into a world where anything is possible. I paint these tales to bring these messages to others, see the truth about the world and human nature more clearly, and keep the stories alive.
I am a believer in manifesting-dreams, designing a better life. These tales are potent tools to feed the imagination and see possibilities in our own lives. Inspiration, small steps, and "Dreams Do Come True.
