ARTIST STATEMENT

Erica Castellini is a self-trained, independent artist who is also a licensed acupuncturist and clinical social worker. Erica uses art as an outlet to express both her internal and external experiences in this world, from extreme conflict to unimaginable joy. Art is how Erica processes life. She draws on both her experiences and the experiences of her clients by using multiple mediums to express life’s challenges and beauty. She is drawn towards collage but has started using acrylics, morphing more into a mixed media artist. Erica is grateful for her friends who are talented artists for their continual support, creative inspiration and constructive criticism. Art is meant to provoke emotion and thought, Erica can only hope her art provokes the same in others.
